Randstad is looking to hire multiple reliable Shipping & Receiving Associates for companies in the New Haven county to manage inbound and outbound shipments, safely operate warehouse equipment, and maintain accurate inventory records using our digital systems. *Must have basic computer skills and forklift experience* *Experience with UPS/FedEx shipping software is a PLUS* APPLY TODAY for immediate consideration for our shipping and receiving opportunities!!
salary: $19 - $25 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM education: No Degree Required
Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight trucks using sit-down/stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Inspect incoming shipments, reconcile items against packing slips, and report damages.
- Pick, pack, weigh, palletize, and label outbound orders to carrier specifications.
- Log inventory receipts, generate shipping labels/BOLs, and update stock records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Complete daily forklift pre-operation safety checks and keep staging areas clean and compliant with OSHA standards.
- Basic computer skills: data entry, barcode/RF scanner usage, standard email, and shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx, or basic WMS/ERP).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand, walk, or bend for full 8+ hour shifts in a warehouse environment.
