Job Description: Mazek Lathe Operator & Programmer
Requirements:
•
- Must be able to read and comprehend the English language;
- Must be able to communicate clearly to supervision and peers;
- Take instructions from supervisor and from trainer.
- Have interpersonal skills to be able to work in a team atmosphere; display a positive attitude.
- Must have good attendance.
- Strong mechanical and machining aptitude.
- Good math skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines. A solid understanding of machining processes.
Responsibilities:
•
- Responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating Mazek Lathe and machining centers to fabricate metal parts and components while maintaining tight geometric tolerances and quality and safety standards.
- Set up, load, adjust, and operate tooling to ensure precision machining operations.
- Understanding and reading code languages to control machine movements and operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, GD&T, dimensions and engineering specifications to produce parts.
- Determine dimensions and tolerances as needed. Ability to find zero.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary program, tooling, or process adjustments.
- Verify parts to ensure conformance. Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
General Qualifications:
•
- Normal operations include being able to properly lift and handle parts up to 25lbs consistently throughout an average work day of nine hours; may occasionally be required to lift up to 75lbs. with team or mechanical assistance.
- Job requires bending, stooping and stretching on a regular basis
- Be flexible in job duty: go from one job to another without difficulty.
- Be able to meet physical requirements of the job
- Ability to professionally communicate and work well with others.
- Self-motivated; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; sweep and remove debris; put tools and/or equipment in proper location.
- Follow the rules and company regulations as stated upon engagement.
- Must follow dress code; no jewelry: earrings, necklaces or, rings that protrude above finger; no loose or torn clothing. shorts or sleeveless shirts; proper footwear.
