Production / Machine Operator

Job Description

Essential Functions

• Inspect products to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.

• Meet and maintain acceptable production levels.

• Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.

• Notify the supervisor of mechanical or material issues.

• Understand lockout/tagout safety procedures.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and equipment.

• Accept frequent supervision and assistance with machine setup.

• Demonstrate familiarity with basic machine functions to perform assigned tasks.

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and measuring skills are a plus.

Work Environment

Employees are frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts while performing their duties.

Physical Demands

• Frequently stand or walk for extended periods.

• Frequently use hands to handle objects, tools, and controls.

• Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, or hear.

• Possess the visual abilities necessary for the position, including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Schedule and Hours

Second Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM

• 40 hours per week.

• Overtime may be available based on business needs.

Education and Experience

Required:

• No specific education or experience required.

Preferred:

• High school diploma or GED.

• At least one year of factory-related experience.
