Welder
Location: Newton, KS
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour (Starting pay based on experience)
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- 10-hour shifts
- Some Saturdays required (5-hour shifts)
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to join our team in Newton, KS. In this role, you will perform welding operations to join and fabricate metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with various welding processes and a strong commitment to safety and workmanship.
Essential Duties
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts to specification.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and structural integrity.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of welding equipment and fabrication techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and wear required safety equipment.
