Job Description
- Support the SSIO office with development of mission-specific and cross-portfolio M&S services, algorithms and effective characterization of likely scenario outcomes.
- Conduct requirements traceability from Mission Areas down to implementation of appropriate representative M&S simulations capable of accurately representing the physical dynamics, operations, and overall behavior of modeled systems.
- Model/simulate potential SoS and FoS materiel solutions and concepts in appropriate scenarios to evaluate and recommend modernization changes.
- Model materiel solutions that support determinations for system vulnerability, survivability and resilience, system performance including improved performance from enhancements and/or new technologies.
- Model materiel solutions that support utility trades, technology readiness assessment and related gathered intelligence.
- Establish Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) Verification and Validation (V&V) procedures for established MS&A tools and software upgrades
- Conduct V&V of Models used by the Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Systems Integration Office (SSIO); support maintenance of all Government models (AFSIM, SEAS, etc.), as directed by the Government.
- Assist with enterprise requirements development and JCIDS documentation
- Analyze technical derivatives of cross-cutting space requirements relevant to the simulation outcomes of implemented M&S artifacts.
- Recommend practical, mission-driven solutions to meet performance, affordability and sustainment goals
- Develop and present briefings, technical reports and architectural roadmaps
- Collaborate with SWAC, CSRO/S5R and PEO offices to define and prioritize M&S for SATCOM, PNT, Missile Warning/Tracking, TacISR, SBEM, BMC3 and Launch systems at SSC.
