Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of progressive Commercial Construction experience with a large-scale self-perform General Contractor or Concrete Contractor Self-perform concrete experience Experience with projects valued at $1M+ Strong understanding of construction principles and practices Ability to validate estimates for accuracy and develop appropriate bid strategies Ability to assess business-unit capacity and align future projects with operational capabilities Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related Microsoft programs

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Strong business development background Strong estimating background Deep knowledge of the local commercial construction market Experience across multiple project types, particularly Commercial and Industrial construction Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Preconstruction Lead for a top concrete construction client. This individual will lead preconstruction and new business development efforts for their assigned market, helping identify and secure commercial and industrial construction opportunities while maintaining a strong project backlog. The Preconstruction Lead will own key portions of the pursuit lifecycle, including market development, bid strategy, estimate validation, client negotiations, and project turnover. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of commercial construction experience, extensive self-perform concrete knowledge, and the ability to bridge business development, estimating, and operations.
