Job Description
Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance. Contribute to network optimization and support Charter Manufacturing expansion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain WAN, LAN, WLAN, and cloud network solutions
- Lead troubleshooting of complex network issues and outages
- Monitor and optimize network performance, capacity, and availability
- Support Charter expansion projects: o Assist in network design for new sites and upgrades o Execute deployment, configuration, and testing activities o Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors
- Conduct network audits, failover testing, and disaster recovery exercises
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standards
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams
- Mentor Network Engineer I team members
- Support vendor selection, evaluation, and implementation
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of network engineering experience
- Strong experience with Cisco routing, switching, and wireless technologies
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation
- Ability to travel as required
- CCNA or CCNP certification
- Experience with: o SD-WAN / SD-LAN technologies o Cloud networking (Azure, AWS) o Load balancing (F5) o WAN optimization (Riverbed)
- Experience in multi-site or manufacturing environments
