Required Skills & Experience
- Valid Ohio fire license for work involving fire systems
- Hands-on experience with security, low-voltage, fire alarm, access control/card access, CCTV, or similar systems
- Ability to perform installation work independently with limited onsite supervision
- Comfortable working from lifts and tall ladders
- Ability to follow all required jobsite safety procedures Steel-toe boots
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate via phone and email
- Ability to travel between locations as project needs require
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience across multiple systems, including fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and building automation
- Experience installing heat and smoke detection devices
- Previous commercial security or low-voltage installation experience
- Relevant technical certifications or additional licensing

Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Service Install Technician for a top building technology, security, and life-safety client in Ohio. This technician will be responsible for independently completing installation work across fire alarm, access control, CCTV, security, and building automation systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on low-voltage or security installation experience, holds the required Ohio fire license, and is comfortable operating independently in the field. This is a great opportunity for a technician who enjoys ownership of their work, exposure to multiple system types, and the opportunity to support projects across different locations. Candidates should be safety-focused, comfortable working from lifts and ladders, and able to communicate effectively with a geographically dispersed team.
Day-to-Day:
- Pick up required equipment and job paperwork from the warehouse
- Travel to assigned customer/project locations Independently complete installation work for fire alarm, access/card access, CCTV, security, and building automation systems
- Install and work with fire-system devices such as heat and smoke detectors, excluding sprinkler systems
- Perform work from ladders and lifts while following required safety procedures
- Coordinate with another technician when elevated work requires additional assistance
- Communicate project status, issues, and job requirements with leadership primarily by phone and email
- Complete required online training through the company learning management system
- Potentially support projects and training at other Ohio locations as needed
