Your New Role The company is seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join its growing preconstruction team. This role is ideal for an individual looking to build a long-term career in heavy civil construction estimating. Working alongside senior estimators and project management teams, you will assist with quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, subcontractor and supplier pricing, cost analysis, and the preparation of competitive proposals for major civil infrastructure projects.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 2–3 years of estimating, engineering, internship, or construction experience.
- Strong interest in heavy civil, highway, bridge, utility, or site development construction.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Bluebeam, HCSS, AutoCAD, or similar estimating software is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a leading heavy civil contractor.
