Vaco is working with a well-established manufacturing company seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and financial operations while partnering closely with leadership and operations teams to drive efficiency, reporting accuracy, and process improvements.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll oversight, inventory, cost accounting, reconciliations, and monthly close
- Prepare monthly financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Partner with operations on cost tracking, margin analysis, inventory management, and production reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and operational decision-making
- Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and ERP workflows
- Assist with audits, tax support, and compliance reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
- 6+ years of public and/or corporate accounting experience
- Manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting experience required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- ERP experience (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience improving processes and partnering cross-functionally with operations teams preferred
