This pivotal role focuses on proactive margin protection, financial risk mitigation, and executive-level trend reporting across complex, multi-year initiatives.
The successful candidate will maintain complete oversight of core project tracking - including monitoring labor, material, time, and equipment allocations against revenue and profitability targets. By driving accurate percentage-of-completion accounting, dynamic cash flow modeling, and rigorous financial controls, this role ensures optimal business and financial decision-making across all active and pipeline projects.

- Drive primary financial ownership, evaluation, tracking, and strategic management of project claims and dispute resolutions.
- Build and maintain sophisticated rolling cash flow models and revenue projections for high-value, multi-year infrastructure projects.
- Direct monthly financial review meetings with Project Managers and Operations Directors, delivering in-depth variance analyses and actionable cost-mitigation strategies.
- Manage financial mechanics and risk controls for large-scale change orders and multi-tiered subcontractor compliance frameworks.
Reporting, Forecasting & Corporate Planning
- Analyze executive-level project performance trends to provide proactive risk-mitigation recommendations to senior leadership.
- Lead the annual project budgeting process and manage continuous rolling forecasts.
- Oversee progress billing preparation, progress invoices, and cross-project internal equipment cost allocations.
- Partner directly with the Regional Controller on regional forecasting, corporate business planning, and ad-hoc executive financial analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience & Education
- 7 to 10+ years of progressive project accounting or cost engineering experience within heavy civil, rail, transportation, or large-scale infrastructure construction.
