Vaco has partnered with a respected construction organization to hire an Accounting Manager in North Phoenix, Arizona! Accounting Manager $120,000–$135,000 base salary (depending on experience) North Phoenix, AZ (5 days on-site)

Responsibilities include:
- Lead day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
- Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting
- Manage monthly and annual close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entry review
- Monitor adherence to accounting regulations, tax requirements, and company policies
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and oversight to accounting team members
- Partner with operational and leadership teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
- Evaluate existing workflows and implement improvements to strengthen controls and increase efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities (Required)
- Experience with construction accounting, including areas such as revenue recognition, job costing, WIP reporting, or sales tax (Required)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage a high-performing team
