Cost Accountant

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support manufacturing operations through cost tracking, inventory valuation, financial analysis, and reporting. This role will analyze manufacturing costs, investigate variances, support budgeting and forecasting, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Accounting & Analysis

• Monitor manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead.
• Maintain cost accounting systems and analyze standard-versus-actual variances.
• Investigate discrepancies and recommend cost-control improvements.

Inventory Management

• Oversee valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
• Perform inventory reconciliations, support physical counts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze inventory turnover and identify opportunities to reduce carrying costs.

Financial Reporting & Planning

• Prepare cost reports and analyze COGS, gross margins, and profitability.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Monitor actual results against budget and provide actionable financial insights.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, manufacturing processes, and inventory management.
