About the Role Robert Half is partnering with a dynamic and growing organization to fill their Senior Accountant position. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing accounting operations and serving as a leader within the finance team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, you will:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including complex journal entries.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, while providing insight to key stakeholders.
- Manage tax filings and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Participate in audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of ERP systems and accounting processes.
- Mentor and supervise entry level accounting staff, offering guidance to ensure development and accuracy.
- Analyze financial data to support strategic business decisions.
Preferred Qualifications Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (CPA, MBA, or other advanced certifications preferred but not required). Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including supervisory responsibilities. Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems (such as Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of GAAP and regulatory frameworks. Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
