We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations, manage transactional workflows (AP/AR), drive month-end closes, and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. This position serves as a key financial lead, collaborating with internal teams, executive leadership, and our CPA to optimize performance and compliance.
salary: $33 - $34 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM education: Bachelors
Responsibilities
- Supervise AP/AR processes, manage cash activity, monitor delinquent accounts, and oversee weekly check runs and payroll integrations (Paycor to QuickBooks).
- Prepare month-end statements, cash flow reports, quarterly executive presentations, and segment budgets. Identify trends to improve profitability and lower costs.
- Lead month-end/year-end close, perform account reconciliations, post journal entries, and ensure audit readiness.
- Manage sales tax filings, quarterly payroll compliance, annual 1099s, and maintain internal controls and confidentiality.
- Act as a key liaison for external CPA audits and provide backup support for customer service/order entry workflows when needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of accounting experience (supervisory or lead experience preferred).
- GAAP, proficiency in QuickBooks (or similar ERP), Paycor (or similar payroll software), and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
