Part-Time Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW) – In-Person & Virtual, Mount Vernon, NY
Job Summary:
Mindset Mental Support is hiring a committed, empathetic Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW) to provide mental health care to adult clients both in person and virtually. You will assess client needs, create treatment plans, and lead therapeutic interventions that strengthen emotional well-being and improve day-to-day quality of life.
Social Worker Responsibilities:
- Carry out thorough diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Provide individual counseling in person and via telehealth, using evidence-based techniques matched to each client’s needs.
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and provide well-rounded client support.
- Serve as an ongoing source of support and advocacy for clients residing in the adult home.
- Keep complete, accurate clinical records that meet regulatory standards, including ICD-10 diagnostic coding.
Social Worker Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited school.
- Current LMSW or LCSW license in New York State.
- Strong clinical documentation skills and working knowledge of diagnostic evaluations.
- Crisis intervention experience is highly preferred.
- Prior experience leading group therapy is a plus.
- Effective written and verbal communication with clients and team members.
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
