As a Reach Truck Operator with yard jockey experience, you’ll safely move, store, and manage materials throughout the warehouse, with some yard switching duties for those who have that experience.
Giti Tire opened its first U.S. tire manufacturing plant in Richburg, SC, in 2017. The 1.7 million-square-foot facility makes tires for drivers across North America.
What We Offer:
- Base pay of $21.00 per hour for reach truck duties
- Yard switching pay of $24.00 per hour ($3.00 per hour more vs base pay) for the hours you spend on yard switching duties only
- About 90% of your time is reach truck work and about 10% is yard switching, based on GiTi Tires’ needs
- When there’s no yard switching work, all hours are paid at the base rate of $21.00 per hour
- 2-2-3 night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 6 months of reach truck experience
- Yard switching experience is preferred, but not required (it qualifies you for the $24.00 per hour yard switching rate)
- Stable work history
- Strong communication, writing, and math skills
- Ability to lift 55 - 65 pounds repeatedly
- Availability to work 8 - 12 hour shifts on either day or night shifts
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
What You’ll Do as a Reach Truck Operator (Yard Jockey Experience Preferred):
- Perform daily forklift inspections
- Pick, store, and verify pallets using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Supply and remove empty or partial pallets and poles
- Complete off-loads, and load and unload pallets and poles
- Change forklift batteries as needed
- Consolidate and relocate pallets
- Maintain inventory and make sure storage bins are available
- Keep your work area organized and clean
- Handle yard switching duties when Giti needs them, about 10% of your time, if you have yard switching experience
- Follow all safety procedures and perform other assigned tasks
