Packaging Associate
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
We are looking for a reliable and detail oriented Packaging Associate to join our production team. This is a hands on role focused on quality inspection, packaging, and light assembly of graphic and display products. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a sharp eye for detail, and thrives in a fast paced production environment. No prior experience in graphics is required - just a strong work ethic and a commitment to getting it right every time.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect finished graphics and printed materials for quality, accuracy, and correct sizing prior to packaging
- Carefully fold, pack, and box finished products according to established procedures
- Tape and seal boxes to ensure products are secure and ready for shipment
- Apply various tapes and adhesives by hand as needed during the packaging process
- Operate the grommet machine once trained and certified on equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace throughout the shift
- Identify and report any quality defects or inconsistencies to a supervisor
- Meet daily production and packaging targets while maintaining quality standards
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail - quality control is a core part of this role
- Ability to work efficiently with hands on tasks including taping, folding, and light assembly
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Willingness to cross train on equipment including the grommet machine
- Team oriented attitude with ability to work independently when needed
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in packaging, production, or light manufacturing a plus
- Equipment operation experience a plus but not required - training provided
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Ability to work in a production environment
