Machine Operator - 1st Shift (North Omaha) | $18/hr (Full-Time)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (1st shift)
Location: North Omaha, NE
Pay: $18.00/hour (with wage increase once hired on permanently by the company)
Type: Full-time, temp-to-hire
Job Summary
We’re hiring a Machine Operator to support production of gel packs . This role is responsible for safely operating and monitoring equipment, performing changeovers (including changing rolls ), and maintaining consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery used to manufacture gel packs
- Change rolls/materials and assist with machine changeovers and adjustments
- Monitor machine performance and product output; make basic operator-level adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished product for quality and report defects or mechanical issues
- Complete basic documentation (production counts, downtime, quality checks)
- Keep work area clean and follow all safety, GMP, and plant procedures
- Work closely with team leads and maintenance when issues occur
Qualifications / Requirements
- Prior machine operator experience preferred (manufacturing/production environment)
- Familiarity with changing rolls , loading materials, and keeping machines running efficiently
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor issues
- Able to stand for shift length and lift up to ~50 lbs (as needed)
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the scheduled shift consistently
