Job Description
The IT Purchasing contractor will be responsible for managing contracts within the IT Software procurement category. They will help ensure the organization secures the technology resources it needs at competitive pricing while maintaining compliance with company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations. They will work closely with IT, vendors, and internal stakeholders to manage contract activity, collect license entitlement amounts, negotiate terms, support procurement needs, and promote effective vendor relationships.
Compensation: $50/hr to $55/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
Skills and Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- 5-7 years of IT procurement experience, including vendor relationship management and contract negotiations with vendors such as Red Hat, SUSE, Oracle, etc.
- Background working in IT Applications preferred
- Background leading / negotiating large software deals preferred
- Skills:
- Excellent decision making skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency with procurement software and tools.
- Working knowledge of IT products and services.
- Ability to analyze data and make sound, informed decisions.
