Job Description
Position Overview: Senior technical SCRM/data analyst supporting Air Force ICBM programs. This person will work with large raw datasets related to suppliers, parts, sustainment, technical information, and the defense industrial base.
They need to personally use SQL, Python, Excel, and analytical/visualization technologies to clean, query, manipulate, and analyze data; identify supply-chain and mission risks; and turn the resulting analysis into clear insights and recommendations for government stakeholders.
Raw data → clean/query/analyze → identify patterns → determine risk → visualize → explain mission impact → recommend action
Day-to-Day :
- Receive and work with large supplier, part, technical, sustainment, industrial-base, and open-source datasets.
- Use SQL, Python, Excel, and analytical platforms to query, clean, normalize, validate, analyze, and interpret data.
- Analyze supplier networks, CAGE codes, NSNs, BoMs, part numbers, sourcing pathways, technical-order-derived information, and industrial-base signals.
- Look for single-source dependencies, supplier fragility, obsolescence/DMSMS exposure, sourcing bottlenecks, vendor viability, FOCI indicators, geopolitical risk, procurement delays, and sustainment vulnerabilities.
- Determine what the analytical findings mean to the ICBM mission, rather than merely reporting the underlying data.
- Produce visualizations, dashboards, risk summaries, metrics, alerts, assessments, and other decision-support products.
- Take analysis from data → insight → mission impact → recommended action/mitigation.
- Brief Air Force/government stakeholders and explain complicated analysis clearly.
- Produce industrial-base assessments, deep dives, executive briefings, position papers, reports, and recurring program deliverables.
- Document sources, analytical methodology, findings, and evidence for traceability/government review.
- Work with Exiger product/data/engineering teams to improve workflows, data quality, risk scoring, dashboards, and platform functionality.
- Support alternate-source identification, mitigation planning, supplier-base expansion, and vulnerability action tracking.
- Participate in IPT/DIB working groups and validate findings with government and contractor stakeholders.
- Help mentor junior analysts on analytical methods, research practices, documentation, and quality standards.
