Your new role As an MEP Data Center Superintendent, you will lead all field operations related to the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection scopes of large-scale data center construction projects. You will coordinate trade contractors, oversee installation and commissioning activities, maintain schedule milestones, enforce safety and quality standards, and ensure seamless integration between MEP systems and overall construction operations. The role requires close collaboration with project management teams, clients, engineers, commissioning agents, and subcontractors to successfully deliver mission-critical facilities from construction through turnover.
What you'll need to succeed
- 7+ years of Superintendent, MEP Superintendent, or Mission Critical construction experience.
- Strong background overseeing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems on large commercial, industrial, or data center projects.
- Proven experience managing critical systems including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, chillers, cooling infrastructure, electrical distribution, and commissioning activities.
- Ability to coordinate multiple MEP trades while maintaining aggressive project schedules and quality standards.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, start-up procedures, testing, and turnover requirements.
- Experience working in hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical facilities is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in reading MEP drawings, specifications, BIM coordination models, and project schedules.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred, with a demonstrated commitment to site safety and leadership.
