Position Title: Irrigation Manager
We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Manager to oversee irrigation operations for a premier landscaping company serving luxury residential properties throughout Colorado's Roaring Fork Valley. This position involves managing irrigation technicians, coordinating schedules, troubleshooting complex irrigation systems, and establishing operational processes to ensure exceptional service and system performance.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, technically skilled professional with extensive irrigation experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to lead a team independently. We welcome both experienced irrigation managers and exceptional hands-on irrigation specialists who are ready to take on greater responsibility.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $120,000 / annually, DOE
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily irrigation operations, including technician scheduling, project coordination, and service delivery
- Train, mentor, and support a team of irrigation technicians to maintain high standards of performance
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex irrigation systems on large luxury residential properties
- Manage sophisticated water-delivery systems, including pumps, cisterns, advanced controllers, and multi-zone irrigation networks
- Develop and implement operational procedures, maintenance standards, and efficient scheduling processes
- Evaluate irrigation system issues, recommend solutions, and prepare accurate repair estimates
- Coordinate irrigation maintenance, installations, repairs, and system improvements
- Collaborate with landscaping, construction, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve service quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Support the continued development and expansion of irrigation services
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on irrigation experience, irrigation management experience, or a combination of both
- Strong knowledge of irrigation system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
- Experience working with complex irrigation systems, including pumps, cisterns, multi-zone systems, and advanced controllers
- Ability to diagnose challenging irrigation issues and develop effective, practical solutions
- Experience coordinating technician schedules, managing service work, or overseeing field operations
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and establish effective operational procedures
- Proven commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction
- Ability to work onsite in the Carbondale, Colorado area and travel to surrounding service locations
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends when necessary to address project needs or urgent service issues
- Experience with high-end residential properties or sophisticated landscape irrigation systems preferred
- Previous team leadership, technician training, or operational management experience preferred
- Background in landscaping, irrigation services, or related green-industry operations preferred
