Payroll Processor | Temp-to-Hire | $28–$30/hr Vaco is partnering with a growing organization to identify an experienced Payroll Processor for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This position is ideal for someone with strong payroll processing experience who is comfortable working in a high-volume environment and has hands-on experience with Workday. What You’ll Do
- Process weekly payroll for approximately 500 employees
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time
- Review payroll data, employee changes, deductions, and other payroll-related information
- Assist with payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
- Support payroll reporting and reconciliation activities
- Work closely with a collaborative payroll team
- Assist with multi-state payroll requirements as needed
- Support union payroll processing, when applicable
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of payroll department experience
- Strong Workday experience required
- Experience processing high-volume payroll
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet weekly payroll deadlines
- Knowledge of payroll practices and procedures
- California union payroll experience is a plus
- Multi-state payroll experience is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
