Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Analyze financial results and account fluctuations, investigate variances, and identify trends impacting business performance.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Support SEC and regulatory reporting requirements, including footnote disclosures and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and leadership teams to provide reporting and analysis that supports forecasting, planning, and business decisions.
- Prepare documentation and schedules for external auditors and assist with annual audit activities.
- Evaluate and strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and reporting procedures.
- Research technical accounting matters and help implement new accounting standards where applicable.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or audit experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience preparing financial statements and related disclosures.
- Public accounting experience and/or experience with complex corporate reporting environments preferred.
- CPA designation or progress toward certification is highly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, growing organization.
