Management Accountant Location: Burbank, CA Employment Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire Our client, a small and growing manufacturing company, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their team in a highly visible, stand-alone accounting role. This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a small company environment and enjoys owning the full accounting cycle.
The Management Accountant will be responsible for all day-to-day accounting functions, month-end close, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and tax-related responsibilities. The ideal candidate will come from a small manufacturing or distribution environment and have experience managing a broad range of accounting duties independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process payroll
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Lead the month-end close process
- Prepare internal financial statements
- Perform inventory accounting and related analysis
- Conduct general accounting analysis to support business decisions
- Handle sales and use tax and property tax reporting/compliance
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
- Partner with leadership to provide financial insight and support operational decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing or distribution is required
- Experience in a small company environment with ownership of the full accounting function strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting, month-end close, and financial statement preparation
- Knowledge of sales/use tax and property tax compliance
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

- Experience serving as the sole or lead accounting professional within a small manufacturing business
- Comfortable operating in a role with both strategic and transactional responsibilities
