Writer, Politics Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience covering the news in a professional newsroom
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
- Deep interest in U.S. politics, including campaigns, Congress, and the White House
- Strong knowledge of AP style and a clean, crisp writing style.
Writer, Politics Responsibilities:
- Write and publish multiple clean, engaging, and accurate stories per day
- Cover breaking political news with speed, clarity, and accuracy
- Source national and international media for stories that resonate with our audience, with complete and proper attribution.
- Pitch and pursue original and exclusive stories through strong sourcing and editorial instincts
- Collaborate with editors and fellow reporters to ensure consistent, high-quality coverage.
