Modis is seeking a Sr Engineering Technician for a Contract with a client in Broomfield, CO. The ideal candidate will support the assembly, testing, and maintenance of advanced prototype and laboratory systems while ensuring safe and efficient lab operations. Rate Range: $38/Hour to $40/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Sr Engineering Technician Responsibilities include:
- Perform hands-on electrical and mechanical assembly of prototype systems and test equipment.
- Configure, operate, and maintain vacuum, gas-handling, chilled water, and liquefied gas systems.
- Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment, including vacuum pumps, compressors, and instrumentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and senior technicians to support project milestones and technical objectives.
- Document system configurations, test procedures, and operational processes while maintaining SOP compliance.
- Maintain an organized laboratory environment by supporting 5S initiatives and adhering to established safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma, technical certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in laboratory, manufacturing, R&D, or engineering support environments.
- Experience configuring and working with vacuum and gas-handling systems using CF, KF, NPT, and VCR fittings.
- Proficiency in electrical wiring, cable fabrication, and the use of laboratory test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and vacuum instrumentation.
