Job Description
An employer based out of Amarillo, TX is looking for a Sr. Project Controls Manager to join the team onsite. This individual will serve as the project controls lead for a large-scale data center construction program, owning schedule intelligence, project controls governance, cost visibility, and program-level reporting across multiple stakeholders and sources of truth. On a daily basis, they will review and analyze complex construction schedules, validate schedule logic, identify sequencing risks, and develop supplemental schedules to provide actionable recommendations to developers and project leadership. The Project Controls Manager will be responsible for reconciling multiple schedule and cost data sources that often conflict, ensuring stakeholders have accurate visibility into upcoming milestones, energization activities, system readiness requirements, and critical path risks. They will lead daily schedule review activities, facilitate weekly schedule validation sessions, develop 15-day look-ahead reports, perform forensic schedule analysis, and hold developers and contractors accountable to project commitments. Beyond scheduling, this individual will play a critical role in cost controls by managing contingency tracking, purchase order visibility, cost forecasting, and executive reporting. They will create and maintain integrated dashboards, site-level reporting tools, and executive-ready metrics that provide leadership with consistent visibility into project health, schedule performance, cost exposure, risks, and overall program execution. Success in this role requires balancing schedule management, cost controls, risk management, systems integration, and stakeholder communication while serving as a trusted advisor to both project teams and leadership.
