Job Description
The Banking Deposits Manager will provide management support for Banking Operations Support (BOS) as it transitions into two teams focused on tax processing and unclaimed property and banking operations. The contractor will oversee accurate, timely, controlled, and compliant execution of informational tax reporting, withholding and remittance, tax-document processing, and IRS filing support, partnering with Corporate Tax on matters requiring tax interpretation or regulatory guidance. The role will also oversee enterprise unclaimed-property operations and assigned BOS processes, including due diligence, inactive and dormant accounts, account reactivation and closure, reconciliations, remittance, and state reporting support. Across both teams, the contractor will manage regulatory deadlines, procedures, controls, vendor dependencies, evidence retention, and audit readiness while protecting customer assets and maintaining service delivery. The contractor will strengthen team capacity, cross-training, knowledge transfer, and workflow improvement while preserving required controls.
Provide temporary operational and subject-matter support across Banking Operations Support, with primary focus on tax-processing and unclaimed property activities, escalations, and regulated deadlines.
Coordinate accurate, timely, and controlled execution of informational tax reporting, federal withholding and remittance, FATCA, non-resident alien/Form W-8 processing, B Notices, TIN compliance, tax-form corrections, and IRS filing support.
Coordinate operational unclaimed property activities, including property-data validation, due diligence and owner outreach, inactive and dormant account activities, account reactivation and closure, GL funding, state reconciliation, remittance, and reporting support.
Monitor regulatory and operational deadlines, reconciliations, controls, filing evidence, and audit documentation; identify exceptions and escalate risks or deadline impacts as appropriate.
Coordinate with Corporate Tax, Risk, Internal Audit, second-line partners, and other stakeholders to support compliance and controls, referring tax interpretation or regulatory-guidance matters to the appropriate owners.
Coordinate third-party and system dependencies, including vendor deliverables, issue resolution, and documentation required for accurate execution and audit readiness.
Recommend improvements to procedures, workflows, controls, and reporting to enhance accuracy, efficiency, service delivery, and operational resiliency without weakening control requirements.
Support workload continuity through knowledge transfer, cross-training, and documented processes that reduce key-person dependency during the contractor assignment.
