At Chick-fil-A Beech Grove, our Directors play an active, hands-on role in leading daily restaurant operations and supporting all levels of leadership. Directors will have ownership in the business and be accountable for results within their respective areas as well as the overall performance of the business. Directors typically focus on a specific part of the business (ie., FOH, BOH, Marketing, Talent), but have a team mindset of working together and collaborating on projects and systems. The ideal Director candidate is self-driven, has high expectations for themselves and others, is coachable, and leads with humility. Directors work alongside Supervisors, Shift Leads, and Team Leads to ensure operational excellence, uphold Chick-fil-A standards, and maintain a strong culture of food safety, hospitality, and teamwork. They help establish accountability across all levels of leadership, coach leaders in their responsibilities, and ensure the restaurant operates effectively and consistently. Directors are expected to lead from the front, take initiative in resolving operational challenges, and continually identify opportunities to improve the guest experience, develop our people, and strengthen overall restaurant performance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all levels of leadership are upholding Chick-fil-A standards, policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Coach leaders in real time to strengthen decision-making, problem-solving, and leadership effectiveness.
- Support and oversee lower levels of leadership and ensure shifts run smoothly through accountability, delegation, productivity, and overall team performance.
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor and provide hands-on support wherever operational needs arise.
- Help ensure consistent execution of food safety, food quality, cleanliness, hospitality, and operational standards.
- Communicate operational concerns and important updates to the Director team promptly.
- Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, team performance, and the overall guest experience.
- Provide feedback and coaching to team members and leaders to promote accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.
- Lead by example by demonstrating a strong work ethic, urgency, professionalism, hospitality, and a servant's heart.
- Help ensure opening, closing, and shift transition procedures are completed accurately and consistently.
- Promote a positive team culture built on communication, teamwork, respect, and accountability.
- Participate in leadership meetings and help communicate and execute restaurant-wide goals and initiatives.
- Work alongside the Executive Director to create goals and objectives for your area of ownership.
- Follow up on delegated tasks and operational priorities to ensure expectations are met consistently.
- Exercise sound judgment when making decisions that affect team members, guests, and restaurant operations.

Requirements
- Previous Chick-fil-A experience preferred.
- Previous leadership or management experience preferred.

Work Schedule
- 8+ hour shifts.
