Job Title: Industrial Cleaner 2nd shift $20/hr We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Industrial Cleaner to maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for cleaning production areas, warehouse spaces, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and other facility areas. The employee will also operate a forklift when required.Job Responsibilities
- Clean manufacturing equipment areas and remove dust, dirt, debris, and waste.
- Maintain cleanliness around machinery while following all equipment safety procedures.
- Dispose of waste according to company safety and environmental procedures.
- Restock paper products, soap, cleaning supplies, and other facility materials.
- Safely operate a forklift to transport pallets, cleaning supplies, waste containers, and other materials throughout the facility.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report mechanical or safety concerns.
- Load, unload, move, and stage materials as assigned.
- Maintain clear aisles, walkways, exits, and production areas.
- Follow OSHA requirements, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), chemical-handling procedures, and company safety policies.
- Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Job Requirements
- Previous janitorial, industrial cleaning, manufacturing, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred.
- Previous forklift operating experience required.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment.
- Forklift certification preferred or ability to complete employer-required forklift training and evaluation.
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and industrial cleaning equipment.
- Ability to work around manufacturing machinery, noise, dust, and moving equipment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability to lift and move approximately 50 pounds, with heavier team lifts or mechanical assistance as required.
- Strong attention to safety and cleanliness.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and safety-toe footwear.
