Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Clerk / Customer Service Representative for a temporary assignment in Lake Success, NY. This role combines customer service, laboratory support, and specimen handling. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, customer service experience, and familiarity with laboratory procedures. Location: Lake Success, NY Pay Rate: $21.71 per hour Job Type: Minimum 6-month temp/contract role Assignment Dates: October 19, 2026 – February 28, 2027 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM; occasional Saturdays
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues and complaints, and provide accurate information and support.
- Process orders and maintain detailed, accurate records of customer interactions.
- Handle laboratory specimens, including blood and urine samples.
- Perform specimen aliquoting and follow established laboratory procedures.
- Maintain proper specimen handling practices and adhere to applicable safety and infection control protocols.
- Support daily laboratory operations while providing professional and responsive customer service.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience required.
- Laboratory experience preferred.
- Comfortable handling biological specimens, including blood and urine.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- No professional license or certification required.
Pay Details: $21.71 per hour
