Construction Billing Specialist (Contracts) Location: Costa Mesa (Hybrid) Pay: $42-48/hr Schedule: Temp-to-hire
We are partnering with a growing company in the manufacturing space seeking a Contract Billing Specialist to manage project-based billing from start to finish. This role supports complex billing tied to contracts, production timelines, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle contract billing, including progress billing and invoicing tied to production milestones
- Review contracts, purchase orders, and change orders to ensure billing compliance, including lien waivers and retainage tracking
- Partner with project managers, customers, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support timely billing and closeout
- Maintain accurate billing records, support month-end close, and assist with reporting and forecasting
- Use ERP systems and customer billing portals to submit invoices and supporting documentation
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in contract billing, manufacturing, or project-based environments
- Strong understanding of progress billing, retainage, and contract compliance
- Experience working with customer billing portals and ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite or similar preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
This is not a standard AR role - ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with complex, contract-driven billing in manufacturing or a similar project-based environment.
