Accounting Manager
$115k-$125k base salary (depending on experience)

Vaco has partnered with an exciting public manufacturing company to hire an Accounting Manager. This role offers the opportunity to own procure-to-pay, inventory, and fixed asset accounting while helping build scalable processes within a rapidly growing organization. You'll partner closely with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen controls, improve automation, and support a developing shared services model. Responsibilities:
• Lead procure-to-pay operations, including procurement workflows, vendor onboarding, purchase orders, invoice processing, accounts payable, and payment controls.
• Oversee inventory and cost accounting while partnering with Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, and Engineering on receipts, transfers, reserves, and reconciliations.
• Own fixed asset accounting and related close activities, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Support quarterly reviews and annual audits while strengthening policies, internal controls, documentation, and public company reporting readiness.
• Manage and develop the accounting team while driving automation, reporting, metrics, and continuous improvement across the procure-to-pay function.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting, procure-to-pay, accounts payable, inventory, cost accounting, or fixed asset experience required
• Manufacturing or another inventory-focused industry background required
• Prior people management experience required
• Public company experience required
