We have an outstanding Contract position for a Scheduler to join a leading Company located in the East Lansing, MI surrounding area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Schedule and pre-register patients for radiology procedures
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations
- Enter ICD-10 codes and perform medical necessity checks
- Review physician orders and ensure compliance requirements are met
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and patient payments
- Provide estimates and educate patients on financial responsibility
- Communicate with patients, providers, and physician offices
- Ensure accurate registration, billing, and scheduling documentation
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Associate Degree with 1+ year of healthcare scheduling/registration experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of related healthcare experience
- Experience with healthcare scheduling, billing, insurance verification, authorizations, ICD-10 coding, or patient registration
- Strong computer and typing skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
