Maintenance Technician (Commercial Facilities) – Direct Hire
Location: Claymont, DE
Shift: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Pay: $20.00-$25.00/hour
Job Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, drains, fixtures, piping, and water distribution systems.
- Utilize ProPress equipment for plumbing installations and repairs.
- Conduct general building maintenance, including repairs to walls, ceilings, flooring, doors, windows, cabinetry, and framing.
- Perform painting, touch-up work, and facility improvement projects as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment and building systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Follow all safety procedures and company maintenance standards.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Technical training in maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or a related trade is a plus.
- Ability to read work orders, maintenance schedules, and technical documentation.
Experience Requirements
- Multiple years of commercial building maintenance or facilities maintenance experience required.
- Strong hands-on plumbing experience, including repairs, installations, and troubleshooting.
- Experience operating and installing piping systems using a ProPress tool required.
- Experience with HVAC, electrical systems, welding, or mechanical maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance tasks effectively.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various facility environments.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
