A Snapshot of Your Day
Join us as an NX-CAD Process Developer (f/m/d) in Large Gas Turbines Engineering, where you will play a pivotal role in creating and enhancing a PLM-integrated, part-centric digital chain. Imagine connecting product definitions with downstream processes and enabling digital twins throughout the product lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with Engineering and IT to evolve NX-Teamcenter integration and CAD methods, translating business needs into practical solutions. Your expertise in CAD data migration and hypercare will be essential in driving our ongoing digital transformation.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Development and continuous enhancement of a PLM-integrated, part-centric digital chain connecting CAD product definitions with downstream CAx and lifecycle processes, ensuring consistent data flows and digital twins
- Maintenance and enhancement of NX-CAD configuration and Teamcenter integration, including coordination of changes, testing, and deployments with IT to meet engineering requirements
- Acting as the interface between Engineering and IT through translation of business requirements into actionable specifications and collaboration on the development, testing, and implementation of CAD and PLM solutions
- Enabling a large and diverse engineering user base through support, training, and process optimization, including assistance with CAD migrations, complex data transformations, validation activities, and targeted post-migration hypercare
- Development, application, and continuous refinement of NX-CAD methods, modeling strategies, and best practices supporting complex product design, downstream CAx applications, and reusable model-based product definitions across the product lifecycle
What You Bring
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in CAD processes and engineering data management, ideally within turbomachinery or a comparably complex product environment
- Hands-on experience in CAD data migration between systems, including complex data mapping and transformation, validation of migration results, and preservation of assembly structures and model dependencies
- Practical experience in NX-CAD configuration management and NX-Teamcenter integration in collaboration with IT, including solid knowledge of PLM data management and translation of business requirements into validated solutions
- Strong expertise in NX-CAD modeling methods, PMI, and downstream CAx applications, combined with understanding of part-centric digital chains and digital twins; experience with NX Open or scripting-based automation considered an advantage
- Experience in supporting and enabling a large and diverse user community, including post-migration hypercare, structured troubleshooting, user training, continuous process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration between Engineering and IT
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
Export Control Requirement (ECC): Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
