We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer who is ready to step into a Manager of Business Intelligence position to lead data strategy and reporting initiatives for a fast-paced organization in Dallas, Texas. This role will oversee the design of scalable analytics solutions, transform complex data into actionable insights, and support decision-making across the business. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in business intelligence, data warehousing, and AWS-based data tools, along with the ability to guide technical delivery and business collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and management of business intelligence solutions that provide clear, timely insights for operational and strategic teams.
- Design, enhance, and maintain data warehouse structures that support reliable reporting, analytics, and long-term scalability.
- Build and optimize data integration workflows using AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and related cloud technologies.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business questions into dashboards, reports, and data models that drive informed decisions.
- Establish reporting standards, data quality practices, and governance processes to improve consistency and trust in analytics outputs.
- Oversee the performance and availability of BI platforms, ensuring efficient access to critical business information.
- Guide the use of Python and other technical tools to automate data processes and improve reporting efficiency.
- Support enterprise reporting initiatives, including work related to reporting workbench capabilities and broader data platform enhancements.
- Proven experience leading business intelligence or analytics functions, preferably in a director-level or senior management capacity.
- Strong background in business intelligence and data warehousing concepts, architecture, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS technologies, including AWS Glue and AWS Lambda.
- Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, or analytics-related development.
- Demonstrated ability to create reporting solutions that align technical delivery with business goals.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting platform administration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
