- Maintain visibility into outstanding supplier obligations by preparing a recurring schedule of unpaid invoices organized by due date, entity, and currency.
- Manage the full invoice lifecycle by validating supporting documentation, assigning proper ledger coding, coordinating approvals, and ensuring transactions are recorded correctly in the accounting system.
- Assemble payment recommendations for review by outlining immediate obligations, items that may be delayed, and the expected cash impact of each payment cycle.
- Process authorized disbursements and verify successful settlement of funds while safeguarding payment accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee vendor records and tax-related documentation, including independent review of banking detail updates to reduce fraud and control risk.
- Reconcile supplier statements and subledger balances, research discrepancies, and drive timely resolution ahead of month-end close deadlines.
- Develop and maintain a rolling 13-week cash forecast that reflects supplier due dates, anticipated customer receipts, and recurring operating cash needs.
- Monitor receivables activity by ensuring invoices are issued promptly, cash is applied accurately, aging is reviewed regularly, and collection issues or billing disputes are addressed with internal partners and customers.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or accounting operations, including 2 or more years in a supervisory or team leadership capacity.
- Background supporting transactions across multiple legal entities and currencies, ideally within a high-volume or international business setting.
- Practical knowledge of invoice-to-pay and order-to-cash workflows, including three-way matching, payment processing, cash application, collections, and subledger reconciliations.
- Ability to prepare and manage short-range cash forecasts and use receivables and payables data to inform funding and payment decisions.
- Strong Excel capabilities, including working with large data sets, reconciliations, lookup formulas, and pivot tables, along with experience using an ERP or accounting platform.
- Solid understanding of internal controls related to vendor maintenance, banking detail verification, and transaction accuracy.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work across vendors, customers, approvers, and internal business teams to resolve issues efficiently.
