We're seeking a Greenhouse Operations Technician to support greenhouse production, plant propagation, irrigation management, and research activities in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $19.57 per hour
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
What You'll Be Doing
- Learn and operate greenhouse environmental control systems.
- Program irrigation systems and evaluate greenhouse alarms.
- Support plant propagation activities using automated pot-filling equipment.
- Maintain greenhouse cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on greenhouse chambers, equipment, lighting systems, and cooling components.
- Prepare custom soil mixes and assist with pot-filling activities.
- Install, maintain, remove, and clean irrigation systems and emitters.
- Assist with greenhouse research projects and data collection efforts.
- Transport plant materials and supplies between locations using a company vehicle.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate updates, issues, and project progress.
- Follow all safety procedures, SOPs, and company guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years of related experience.
- Interest in greenhouse operations, irrigation systems, and plant propagation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-project environment.
- Basic math skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Willingness to complete Agricultural Worker and Pesticide Handler training.
- Ability to work in greenhouse, field, and laboratory environments.
- Comfortable with physical work including standing, walking, lifting, and working in varying weather conditions.

Pay Details: $19.57 per hour
