HVAC Engineering Staff Lab Technician

NOW HIRING: HVAC Engineering Staff Lab Technician 2nd Shift Charlotte, NC

Are you an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician looking to take your career to the next level? Join a leading engineering lab team supporting the testing and validation of large commercial chiller systems used in hospitals, data centers, and other critical facilities.

Responsibilities:

Execute performance testing on water-cooled and air-cooled chillers

Install and monitor instrumentation including flow meters, pressure sensors, and data acquisition systems

Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, electrical systems, and laboratory equipment

Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and electrical measurement devices

Support and monitor boilers, cooling towers, and high-flow pumping systems

Ensure safe operation of 460V / 3-phase equipment and refrigerant systems

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

5+ years of commercial HVAC service and maintenance experience

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Experience with HVAC equipment, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics

Ability to work in a laboratory testing environment

EPA Certification preferred

Pay Details: $37.00 per hour
