Accounts Receivable Specialist Location: Louisville, KY Pay: $54,000-$62,000/year Job Type: Full-Time Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a growing accounting team in Louisville, KY. This is a newly created position due to company growth and offers an excellent opportunity to join a successful organization with long-term career potential. The ideal candidate will have 2–3+ years of accounts receivable or related back-office accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment. Training will be provided on company-specific processes and systems.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day accounts receivable functions and processes
- Process and maintain accurate customer account information
- Monitor outstanding balances and assist with payment follow-up
- Research and resolve account discrepancies
- Maintain accurate AR records and supporting documentation
- Manage multiple tasks and processes while meeting deadlines
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and customers
- Follow established accounting procedures and ensure work is completed accurately
- Assist the accounting team with additional AR and administrative needs as required
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of accounts receivable, billing, collections, or related accounting experience
- Previous experience working in a professional office environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent follow-through and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Dependable, proactive, and comfortable working as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable learning new accounting systems and processes
