Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support one of our infrastructure clients specializing in data center deployments across North America. This individual will be responsible for managing complex infrastructure projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and according to customer expectations.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading large-scale data center infrastructure projects involving structured cabling, fiber optic networks, network hardware deployments, power distribution systems, commissioning activities, and field operations. This person will serve as the primary point of contact for customers while coordinating engineering teams, field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple data center infrastructure projects simultaneously from project award through final turnover Own project scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and overall project execution Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and status reporting for customers and leadership teams Coordinate field installation teams performing structured cabling, fiber optic deployments, rack-and-stack activities, network hardware installations, and commissioning efforts Monitor project budgets, track costs, and manage project profitability throughout execution Lead project meetings with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, commissioning records, and closeout packages Coordinate procurement, material deliveries, logistics planning, and long-lead equipment tracking Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and customer commitments Oversee project commissioning, turnover activities, and post-deployment support Drive issue resolution and escalation management to minimize project impacts Ensure compliance with safety standards, customer requirements, and company procedures
