Job Description
This individual will sit on the owner side of the project and serve as a senior field leader overseeing execution of a major Texas data center development. The person will spend the majority of their time in the field working directly with the General Contractor and trade partners, monitoring progress, identifying schedule and constructability risks, and ensuring the GC is executing against the project plan. They will conduct site walks, participate in daily and weekly construction meetings, review short-term and master schedules, monitor critical-path activities, evaluate contractor recovery plans, and drive resolution of issues that could affect safety, quality, cost, or schedule. They will also provide project leadership with clear visibility into actual field progress and escalate concerns before they become milestone impacts. This needs to be a high-caliber construction leader who understands how a top-tier GC operates because they have worked on that side themselves. The ideal candidate can walk a major construction site, quickly determine whether the project is truly on track, push back when necessary, and hold the GC accountable while maintaining a productive working relationship.
