Web Developer II

Job Description

This position requires the ability to be processed for a U.S. public trust clearance, and is willing to pay an annual salary of $55,000-$75,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Insight Global is seeking a Web Developer II for a federal government contracting client. This individual will develop and enhance accessible, user-friendly web applications while collaborating closely with UI/UX and software engineering teams. The Web Developer II will support API implementation, front-end functionality, testing, debugging, optimization, and Section 508 compliance while working in a fast-paced, fully remote environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong web development foundation and an interest in leveraging emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development tools, generative AI, conversational AI, and chatbot capabilities, to improve development and delivery.

Day-to-Day:

Design and develop accessible, user-friendly web applications Build and implement APIs, front-end functionality, and UI enhancements Ensure applications meet Section 508 and federal accessibility requirements Debug, test, troubleshoot, and optimize web components Partner closely with UI/UX and software engineering teams Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve development, testing, troubleshooting, and delivery Learn and implement emerging AI technologies, including conversational AI and chatbot capabilities Support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives Assist with technical documentation, reporting, and cross-team communication Participate in internal training, coaching, and knowledge-sharing activities

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Security+ active certification
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in a federal contracting environment preferred.
• Exposure to Agile development methods/schedules
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply emerging technologies to software development challenges
• C# Previous federal government contracting experience Docker Sitecore GitLab C# .NET / ASP.NET JavaScript SQL IIS OWASP Top 10 knowledge AI-assisted software development tools Generative AI experience Conversational AI/chatbot technology exposure
