Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration. Proven, hands-on experience with data center IT asset management- hardware-level (servers, racks, complex infrastructure components), not just laptops/desktops or software asset management Demonstrated ability to build custom API integrations in ServiceNow from scratch (not just plugin configuration) Deep expertise in CMDB and ITOM, specifically hardware configuration management and CI relationship mapping Experience ingesting data from disparate, non-standard systems into ServiceNow (custom telemetry, proprietary data feeds) Strong ServiceNow development skills- you write code, you don't just configure Ability to operate independently in a startup environment with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and minimal process overhead Comfort engaging with senior technical stakeholders and holding your own in architectural conversations
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
ServiceNow certifications such as:
CSA CIS-HAM/SAM CIS-Discovery CIS-CMDB Strong Differentiators
Background at a NeoCloud provider (CoreWeave, Lambda Labs, etc.) Experience modeling AI data center infrastructure or emerging hardware not yet cataloged in ServiceNow Track record of making and defending custom vs. out-of-the-box decisions with a clear business rationale Familiarity with discovery tools (Flexera, Peregrine, etc.) in the context of complex, non-standard environments What This Is Not
This is not a role for someone whose ServiceNow experience is primarily software asset management, virtual environments, or standard enterprise IT This is not a role for someone who needs structure, a large team, or a long onboarding period This is not a role for someone who configures plugins- you build what doesn't exist yet
Job Description
Insight Global’s client is building the infrastructure backbone for next-generation AI data centers, and we’re seeking a ServiceNow Developer who has been in the trenches of complex, hardware-heavy environments to support their growth plans. This is not a configuration role-you will be designing and building custom integrations, modeling infrastructure that doesn't yet exist in ServiceNow's out-of-the-box catalog, and working directly alongside principal-level engineers who are designing AI data center infrastructure at scale.
You will be the primary ServiceNow resource embedded in a fast-moving, fully remote startup environment. You need to hit the ground running, so it expected for this individual to be comfortable with little ramp-up time.
What You'll Do
Design and build custom ServiceNow integrations to ingest complex data from internal and external systems (telemetry feeds, proprietary data structures, non-standard hardware) Model data center infrastructure assets in CMDB, including nested, multi-layer hardware relationships that are not pre-configured in ServiceNow Maintain CMDB health, data quality, and CI relationship mapping across a highly complex infrastructure environment Define and enforce best practices around the custom vs. out-of-the-box boundary, keeping the platform stable while stretching it where necessary Collaborate directly with engineering stakeholders to translate infrastructure architecture into ServiceNow data models Own the full development lifecycle, design, build, test, and maintain as a solo or near-solo resource
