Must Haves
- 7+ years of software engineering, systems integration, application architecture, or enterprise solution delivery experience
- 3+ years as a Technical/Solution Architect or Technical Lead
- Insurance/reinsurance software implementation, migration, modernization, or integration experience
- Strong end-to-end solution architecture/design across applications, integrations, data, security, and infrastructure
- Strong data extraction, conversion, migration, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
- Enterprise integration experience with APIs, web services, batch, messaging, and/or file-based integrations
- Strong relational database, data modeling, transformation, and query analysis experience
- Experience technically leading teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production stabilization Strong ability to translate business/functional requirements into technical designs

- Sapiens Reinsurance PRO / Reinsurance Master experience
- Strong understanding of reinsurance business processes, including treaty/facultative, accounting, claims, recoveries, settlements, and reporting
- End-to-end legacy/on-prem to cloud reinsurance migration experience
- Python and ETL development
- GCP, AWS, or Azure experience
- Microservices, event-driven architecture, middleware, and DevOps/CI/CD
- Previous insurance/reinsurance consulting experience ARe, CPCU, cloud, or architecture certifications
Job Description
Role Overview IG's client is modernizing its reinsurance technology environment and needs a hands-on Technical Lead / Solution Architect to own the technical solution across architecture, integrations, data migration, security, and deployment. This person will bridge reinsurance/Finance requirements with technical delivery and help establish the architecture for the broader reinsurance transformation. Day to Day
- Roughly 75% technical / 25% functional
- Define the end-to-end technical architecture for the reinsurance implementation
- Lead legacy data extraction, conversion, migration, validation, and reconciliation
- Design integrations between the reinsurance platform and Finance, policy, claims, reporting, and data systems
- Build/support ETL processes, file-based integrations, APIs, and technical interfaces
- Partner with Finance/reinsurance SMEs to translate functional requirements into technical designs
- Provide technical direction across development, integration, data, and testing teams
- Troubleshoot technical/architecture issues and manage risks and dependencies Support testing, cutover, deployment, stabilization, and production transition
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
