Job Description
We are looking for an experienced EMR Solutions Architect to assess healthcare applications, integrations, and sensitive data flows across a complex, multi-system environment. This person will focus heavily on identifying and managing risk associated with EMR/EHR migrations and integrations, including understanding how PHI moves between clinical systems and the broader healthcare ecosystem. They will evaluate interfaces, dependencies, trust boundaries, and control gaps, identify potential issues before systems or data are migrated, and translate those findings into clear remediation priorities for the broader team. This person needs to understand large-scale healthcare systems and be able to proactively call out risks within the EMR/application environment while partnering with other technical teams to determine the appropriate solution.
Day-to-Day:
Assess EHR/EMR platforms, clinical applications, interfaces, and integrations. Map and evaluate how PHI and sensitive data flows between healthcare systems. Identify migration and integration risks before changes are made to EMR platforms. Evaluate application dependencies, interfaces, and trust boundaries. Identify security and control gaps impacting PHI, application access, and integrations. Assess risk when moving or consolidating data between EMR/EHR platforms. Work with technical teams to flag issues and dependencies that need to be addressed. Translate EMR/application findings into enterprise risks and remediation priorities. Partner with clinical, application, infrastructure, security, and privacy teams. Help architect the safest approach for healthcare system integrations and migrations.
