Cost Accounting Manager

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7–12+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• 4–6+ years of manufacturing or cost-accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Deep experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing variance analysis
• Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing modules
• Advanced Excel and financial-analysis skills
• Budgeting and forecasting experience
• Proven ability to partner with manufacturing and operations leaders

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• CPA, CMA, MBA, or comparable professional qualification
• Life sciences, aerospace, automotive, Medical device, or other regulated manufacturing experience
• SOX 404 experience
• Multi-site manufacturing exposure

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager for a top medical manufacturing client. This hands-on finance leader will own the cost-accounting and financial-management activities supporting manufacturing operations, including standard costing, inventory accounting, variance analysis, plant reporting, budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditures, and internal controls. The Cost Accounting Manager will partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Corporate Finance to improve gross margin, strengthen working capital, and translate financial results into actionable operational decisions. This person will also play a key role in building scalable, auditable processes and supporting SOX compliance.
